Sonya Morrissey
Sonya (she/her) has been a GP in Melbourne's outer west for 25 years. She has always had an interest in working with young people and worked in youth specific services for most her career. Since 2016 she has been working for Orygen in the headspace centres across the northwest of Melbourne where in addition to clinical work she has a role supporting the GP workforce in the centres, and supervising GP registrars completing an extended skills post. For the past two years she has been the GP for The Australian Ballet and Ballet School. Sonya is currently enjoying the freedom which comes from her children reaching their twenties and tries to spend as much time as she can with her husband and dog at their home in Aireys Inlet on Victoria's surf coast.
