James Best

James is a GP on the south coast of NSW with a specific interest in paediatric disability and mental health. He is the chairman of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) National Faculty of Specific Interests (NFSI) Child and Young Person Health. James is a GP supervisor and GP medical educator. He has published and presented extensively on paediatrics, autism, paediatric development and paediatric mental health. Recently he has been a RACGP representative involved in the development and presentation of a series of webinars and online resources for Emerging Minds, and was the RACGP representative on the National Mental Health Commission – Children’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy, released in October 2021.
